Moses, whose immediate ancestors were the slaves of my people at an epoch when the arts and sciences made Egypt the intellectual center of the world, was educated by the Magi of Pharaoh's court, initiated as a priest of the Sun- god Osiris, and under the name of Osarsiph acquired a full knowledge of oriental secrets. Now, this Moses had achieved great reputation for necromancy in my land; he had married, but not among his own people, and his children remained uncircumcised for many years. When Moses went to the court of the Egyptian king, in order to intercede for the freedom of the Jewish people, he worked even greater wonders than the native Magi, for when Pharaoh demanded a miracle from Moses he bid his brother Aaron cast down his rod, and lo! it wTas trans- formed into a living serpent, but the wise men of Egypt cast down their rods and performed the same magic ; then came another enchantment for stretching forth his hand. Aaron brought numbers of frogs from the rivers and ponds of Egypt, and the Magi repeated the same sorcery. Then followed other wonderful displays of enchantment that the wise Magi could not equal. So Pharaoh per- mitted the Jewish people to depart from the land of bond- age; but, even after emigrating, the Jews murmured against Moses, and in order to discipline his own country- men this grand old law-giver and leader raised up myri- ads of serpents, and many Israelites died from poisonous bites. Thus was Israel delivered by Moses who had drunk the full cup of Egyptian knowledge with the three wise men of the Sublime Court of Patah, the fountain source of all occult wisdom. The exodus of the Jews oc- curred 1310 years before the Christian Era, and the line of Egyptian monarchs date back 2050 years further. Know that Moses included a vast amount of the most
