was discharged from Mental Deficiency Orders during the year:—

One female and two male patients died during 1960.
Short-term Care in Cases of Urgency. This provision is mainly used
to relieve, for a short period, parents having a mentally disordered child
at home. Eleven patients were admitted to establishments for varying
periods of short-term care in accordance with the Council’s proposals
under Section 28 of the National Health Service Act, 1946.
