NOTICE. As we purpose registering in our columns all events of interest to the trade, we shall be glad to receive notices of deaths, changes, failures, successes, &c. Back numbers of our journal will always be kept on hand. We shall publish, as the printers' letter will prove, a first edition, con- sisting of 20,000 copies ; up to the present time* we have addressed 13,000 Chemists and Druggists, but as we are still adding daily to our list, and require two thousand copies to meet contingencies, such as applications— from those whose addresses we have not obtained — and persons wishing duplicates, &c, we shall doubtless issue the entire edition this month. Dear Sir,—We must urge upon you the immediate necessity of sending us the remainder of the copy to complete the " Chemist and Druggist." Two sheets only, of 20,000 each, have been printed, and if you require it to be published on the 15th, no further delay should occur. The folding and stitching of so large a number will take at least a day. We are, Dear Sir, yours respectfully, TRUSCOTT, SON, & SIMMONS. We publish this letter as a text on which to found an appeal to our Advertisers for the pardon of any errors which may be found in their notices ; —if time had permitted we should have classified the announcements, and placed several of the terms to the trade in the index, which will in this number be found in the announcement itself. We hope in other respects our pages will be found correct. It m,ust be distinctly understood that unless we receive an order for the " Chemist and Druggist," accompanied by a remittance of two shillings and sixpence, in stamps or otherwise, and a card of - reference, or the journal is ordered through a London house, no further numbers will be sent. An envelope is sent with every copy of this journal, addressed to the editor, and containing on the flap an order for it, which only requires to be filled up and signed. The receipt of a second number will constitute an acknowledgment of the subscription ; if further receipt be desired, a stamped envelope must accom- pany remittance. 24, Bow Lane.
