CONDENSED ENGLISH LAVENDER FLOWER WATER,
Being prepared by a new process, renders unnecessary the usual adjuncts to cover the rank
smell of the stalks, apparent even in the best commercial Mitcham Oil, and developes a fra-
grance and freshness which, though well known in the flowers, have hitherto been lacking in
the preparations from them. Moreover, it is remarkable for its sweet, natural, diffusing, and
abiding perfume. Wherever it has been introduced the sale of Lavender water has largely
increased, and the Trade generally will find it now more economical, convenient, and taking
than what is prepared by the usual method. Price 5s. per lb.; mixed with one-third spirit,
4s. per lb., which is apparently stronger, but not so lasting; Avith two-thirds spirit, 3s. per lb.,
which is equal to the usual superior draught Lavender Water ; but as the retailer can reduce
it himself to the requirements of his trade, the purchase only of the condensed is recommended,
which, in trade quarts, can be had of any of the Wholesale Druggists, whose orders for next
season, especially for the export market, are now solicited to secure age and despatch in the
supply.
CONDSHSED FLORAL IXTBACTS»
WOODBINE. LAVENDER. OLD MAN.
CARNATION. GILLY FLOWER. WALLFLOWER, &c.
The process which, in making the Lavendine, has proved so successful, has with equal success
been brought to bear in the production of these. The result is a spirituous extract long wanted
in perfumery, and which for naturalness, beauty, and richness are equal to the French and
Italian extracts. When their very unusual strength is considered (for a mixing of I part to
from 7 to 12 parts of spirit is recommended fully to develope their fragrance), the maker
flatters himself that on the score of economy, as well as novelty, elegance, and attraction, they
will commend themselves to the home and foreign trade. Price 12s. per lb. But though any
quantity of these and the Lavendine is supplied, the Proprietor can guarantee only the
bottles sealed, labelled, and endorsed with his name, which may be had from the Wholesale
Druggists and Medicine Vendors ; any of whom, if not supplied, will oblige by applying to
JOSIAH J. WALL, Banbury.
