Gentlemen,—Having been informed that our Glycerine and Almond Soap is being made and offered in the country in 1 lb bars, with an exact imitation of our Die, &c, we most respectfully beg to inform you that no one is acquainted with the recipe of our Glycerine and Almond, and the mode of introduction of Glycerine. It is only known to Mr. Richardson, who personally superintends its manufacture. Chemists and Druggists are therefore cautioned against spurious and fraudulent imitations. None is genuine " Glycerine and Almond," but that invented and solely made by us. The numerous manufacturers now pushing their cheap articles, calling them Perfumed Soaps, must of a consequence for a time injure the legitimate Trade for genuine Tallow Soaps. The cocoa nut oil trash, got up pleasing to the eve and in cheap large tablets, has tended to prejudice the public mind, it having been so disappointed by cold water process soaps, which are strong, caustic, and very deleterious soaps to use. Since 1851 the sale of our Genuine Fine Perfumed Soaps has increased one hundred- fold, and we can with great confidence say that we feel sure no Chemist who once tries to sell our Article will regret it, as the public will soon appreciate their introduction. For the manufacture of Pure and Unadulterated Perfumed Soaps, viz., Brown Windsor, Glycerine, Honey, White Windsor, Rose, Honeysuckle, Oatmeal and Honey, Borax and Honey, and every kind of Fancy and Medicated Soaps, we defy being surpassed cither in price or quality.
